Burris Veracity PH 2.5-12x42mm

Description

The Burris Veracity PH 2.5-12x42mm is a 2.5-12×42 mm riflescope from Burris. It is a practical choice for general hunting at short to medium range.

Why choose the Burris Veracity PH 2.5-12x42mm

With 2.5-12×42 mm optics, this scope covers general hunting at short to medium range. Because the reticle sits in the first focal plane, your holdovers work at any zoom setting. It gives you a reliable sight picture without a lot of extra weight.

Key features

• 2.5-12x variable magnification. You can scan wide at 2.5x and zoom to 12x for careful shot placement.
• 42 mm objective lens. It strikes a good balance between brightness, size and weight.
• First focal plane reticle, so holdover marks stay accurate at every magnification.
• 3PW-MOA reticle for clear, precise aiming.
• Illuminated reticle for a clear aiming point in low light.

How to choose a riflescope

When you compare riflescopes, start with magnification. Lower power gives a wider view and faster target pick-up. Higher power helps at long range. Next, look at the objective lens. A bigger lens gathers more light, but it also adds weight and needs taller rings. Also check the focal plane. A first focal plane reticle keeps holdovers accurate at every power, while a second focal plane reticle stays the same size.

Finally, make sure the turrets and reticle use the same unit, either MOA or MRAD. That makes corrections quick and simple. Mount the scope in quality rings, set the eye relief before you tighten the screws, and then zero it at the distance you shoot most.
