Eyepieces let you upgrade or change how your spotting scope works. For example, you can add a reticle for ranging, a wider view or a different zoom range. We stock options for Vortex, Zeiss, Athlon, Burris and Nikon spotting scopes.
Types of eyepieces
Reticle models: show MIL or MOA marks, so you can range targets and call corrections.
Wide-angle models: give a bigger field of view, which makes it easier to find game.
Zoom models: let you change magnification without swapping parts.
Fixed models: often give the brightest, sharpest view at one power.
Why upgrade?
Many spotting scopes come with just one ocular. However, different tasks need different views. So a second option makes your scope far more useful.
For example, shooters who spot for a partner often want a reticle. Then they can give exact corrections after each shot. On the other hand, hunters who glass large areas often prefer a wide view.
Check compatibility
Each model is usually made for a specific scope or series. Therefore, always check that it fits your spotting scope before you order. In addition, note that the magnification can change depending on the scope body.
Also look after your optics. Keep the caps on when you are not using them, and store spare parts in a padded case. As a result, the glass stays clean and free of scratches.
